This workshop will address the issues surrounding the conduct of research with young people on sensitive issues, such as child maltreatment, violence in intimate relationships and sexual assault. We will discuss the importance of conducting this type of research, the consent process, the possibility of reporting to the Director of Youth Protection (Quebec, Canada), the precautions to take and the management of ethics committees. We will also discuss what research tells us about violence and trauma among young people (impacts of research, benefits, discomforts, etc.).
